Congratulations to Eugene Harney on earning his membership to the 3000 Point Club!

"In four years as an Aviator wrestler, Eugene Harney has built quite a resume. For our program, he became the first 4-time Ohio state qualifier, the first 4-time Ohio state placer, the all-time wins leader, the first 4-time GMC champion, the second state champion, and the first ever two-time state champion, and there are surely achievements missing from that list. Eugene ended his high school career with a mind-blowing record of 151-18, but records and stats cannot define him. An intense, unmatched competitive drive coupled with attention to detail that served as a catalyst for technical growth are a few of the many attributes he shares with other champions, but his unwavering dedication to the pursuit of greatness is what makes him who he is. Reaching the top of the podium at the state tournament for the second time his senior year seemed inevitable when you consider just how hard he worked to materialize that dream.

Eugene excelled on the football field as well, leading the Aviators to a winning record and playoff berth during his senior campaign. Eugene played both sides of the ball and even returned some kicks. He was named first team All-GMC as a running back, where he led the league in all-purpose yards with 1616, just under 150 yards per game. He was also named third team All-State. Eugene also showed incredible personal growth throughout his high school career. His maturity level grew along with his athletic prominence, and it is safe to say that there is a correlation between the two. It takes a mature yet confident person to achieve at the level to which he achieved and we as a community, school, wrestling team, football team, and athletic department couldn't be more proud."

Wrestling Assistant Coach John Vuotto

"Lyndsey was a 4 year starter for Varsity volleyball and holds the record for Digs in program history. She led the GMC in Digs her final two seasons and was the Player of the Year her senior year. As a captain her senior year, she led the team in passing points, serving percentage and earned 2nd team All-City. Lyndsey has led Sycamore volleyball on and off the court for four years and will be missed dearly!"
– Volleyball Coach Casie Garland

"Lyndsey is the true definition of an athlete. Lyndsey has started for the varsity softball team since she was a Freshman. As the lead off hitter has perfectly executed her job to get on base with an overall OBP of .500. She has also peppered in 28 RBIs with 15 doubles, 2 triples and 1 HR and in her 4 years has only struck out 33 times. Defensively, Lyndsey has played almost every position besides pitcher and catcher. Lyndsey primarily has played shortstop, where she has made numerous ESPN worthy plays, which has contributed to a fielding average of .929. Lyndsey's outstanding efforts have garnered her numerous accolades, such as Best Defense in 2021, 2022 and 2023, MVP in 2022 and 2023, as well as First Team GMC in 2023. Like Casie said, Lyndsey has been a leader on and off the field for our team for the past four years and will absolutely be missed! She is a coach's dream!"
– Softball Coach Katie Rechenberg
