Tiffany Reyes may only be 14, but her basketball journey is already being written in international headlines and family lore. The daughter of former PBA player Jay-R Reyes and UP volleyball standout Jen Ablan-Reyes, Tiffany is not just continuing a legacy — she is carving out her own.
Her earliest memories are steeped in the game.
"I would watch my dad's games in Araneta when he was in the PBA. On days he didn't have games, I'd ask him to play basketball with me outside. I think that's what made me fall in love with it," she said.Â
While she admits to feeling some pressure to follow in her father's footsteps, she approaches the sport with joy and hunger — and it shows.

Currently preparing for the FIBA Asia Cup U16, Tiffany's training schedule is not for the faint of heart. She alternates between lifting, national team practices and skill work throughout the week. Sundays are sacred — reserved for rest and time with family.
Back in the United States, where she is now based, the rhythm is just as demanding.
She trains with her school team at Sycamore and works with elite coaches including Dante Harlan and Christopher Thomas, who have trained the likes of Jack Animam, Kai Sotto, Kevin Durant and Kobe Bryant. At an age when most kids are just discovering their interests, Tiffany is sharpening her gifts with laser focus.
Her parents, however, remind her of what truly matters.Â
"The best advice they gave me was to always have fun, be yourself and play with confidence," Tiffany said.Â
