Sycamore in the state tournament once again. The Sycamore Aviators (16-4) are regional champs and in the Division I OHSAA girls state Final Four for the fifth time in school history and the first time since 2024 after an 18-7 victory over Kings (14-7) on Thursday.
The Aviators will play Upper Arlington (17-4) in the state semifinal, after Upper Arlington beat Worthington Kilbourne 14-5 on Thursday. The game will take place at 7 p.m. June 3 at Edwards-Maurer Field in Springfield. Upper Arlington has made the OHSAA state tournament every year it's been played, other than 2021, winning four state titles in that time.
On the other side of the bracket, Hudson (21-0) and Olentangy Liberty (20-1) will face off for the right to play the winner of Sycamore vs. Upper Arlington in the state championship game.
Senior shoutout
Eleven Kings seniors finished out their high school lacrosse careers on Thursday night: Reece Hancock, Caroline Bobo, Erica Katenkamp, Isabel Fladung, Elaina Emerson, Vivian Isaacs, Addison Bostick, Corina Macy, Jenna Dargo, Olivia Hahn and Alaina Schimpf.
